How overseas-trained teachers can qualify to teach in England.
About this route: If you trained as a teacher outside the UK, you may be eligible to teach in England.
Check your qualifications
You will need to have your qualifications assessed by the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA).
Assessment only route to QTS
If you have substantial teaching experience, you may be able to gain QTS through the assessment only route.
International Qualified Teacher Status (iQTS)
iQTS is an international version of QTS, designed for teachers trained outside the UK.
English language requirement
You must meet the English language requirements for teaching in England.
